How Oak & Pantry collects, uses and protects your information, and the choices you have.
Last updated: October 28, 2026.
This policy explains what information Oak & Pantry collects when you visit oakandpantry.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and clear.
The short version
- We collect only what we need: messages you send us, your contact details if you join our list, order details if you buy something, and basic technical data when you visit.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Payments are handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card information.
- You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time, and you can ask us to correct or delete your information.
Who we are
Oak & Pantry (“we”, “us”) runs oakandpantry.com. The site is run by a small team based in Singapore (not a registered company), trading as Oak & Pantry. It serves readers in the United States. You can reach us at hello@oakandpantry.com.
What we collect, and why
- Messages you send us. If you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and message so we can reply. The form sends your message to our inbox. The website does not keep a copy in its database. To limit spam, the form briefly keeps a scrambled version of your connection address for about a minute.
- Our email list. If you sign up for our free printables or newsletter, we collect your email address (and your name, if you give it). We use it to send what you asked for and occasional emails about the site. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- Purchases. If you buy a digital product, payment is handled by Stripe. They collect the details needed to take payment and send your download, such as your name, email address and billing details. We receive the order information (what you bought and your email address). We do not see or store your full card information.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting records basic details automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time. We use this to run the site, keep it secure and fix problems.
- Website usage. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and how people find us. It uses cookies. See “Cookies and similar tools” below for details and how to opt out.
Cookies and similar tools
Our website uses cookies from Google Analytics and Google AdSense, described below. Apart from those, it does not set cookies for ordinary visitors. Tools we use or links we point to may set their own cookies, such as MailerLite forms or checkout, and the sites you reach through our links.
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how people use our site: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located, what device and browser they use, and how they found us. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information, and Google processes it for us. We use it to improve our content, not to identify individual visitors. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services on Google’s privacy page. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
We use Google AdSense, an advertising service from Google, to show ads on our site. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads, which may be based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage ad personalization in Google’s Ads Settings, and you can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services on Google’s privacy page. We do not currently use other advertising trackers, such as a Pinterest tag. If we add them, we will update this page first.
Affiliate links
Some links on our site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy, the other company may place cookies on your device and tell us about the purchase. Their privacy policies apply to what they collect. Our Affiliate Disclosure explains how this works.
How we use your information
- To reply to your messages.
- To send you the printables, emails or downloads you asked for.
- To process orders and deliver digital products.
- To keep the site secure, prevent spam and fix problems.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting requirements.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with companies that help us run the site, and only as needed. Should there be any enquiries, feel free to write to us at hello@oakandpantry.com.
We only use established service providers, such as MailerLite, Stripe, Google and Hostinger, and we accept their standard terms of service. Those terms include data protection commitments that require them to protect your information and use it only to provide their services. We also keep a short record of what personal information we collect and why.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or if the business is sold or transferred. In that case, we would make sure your information stays protected.
Where your information goes
We run Oak & Pantry from Singapore and serve readers in United States. The companies we use may store and process information in other countries. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it.
In practice, Google (website analytics) and Stripe (payments) may process information in the United States. MailerLite (our email service) may process information in the European Union and other countries. Hostinger stores the site’s data in Asia. We only use providers that commit to protecting personal information. Where the law requires it, we make sure your information receives a standard of protection comparable to the one it has in Singapore.
How long we keep it
- Messages you send us: as long as we need to answer, and to keep a reasonable record.
- Email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- Order records: as long as the law and our tax and accounting needs require.
- Server logs: usually for 90 days, as set by our hosting provider.
- When we no longer need your information for the purposes above, we delete it or make it anonymous.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email. You can also write to us at hello@oakandpantry.com to:
- ask what information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct it or delete it;
- withdraw your consent, or object to how we use your information.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. We may need to confirm who you are before we act on a request, and we will respond within the time the law requires. We will answer requests to see or correct your information as soon as reasonably possible, and normally within 30 days. We may charge a small fee for a request to see your information, and we will tell you the cost first. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.
For data protection questions, contact us at hello@oakandpantry.com.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and trusted service providers. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
If a data breach happens that is likely to cause you significant harm, or that affects a large number of people, we will tell the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) in Singapore and the people affected, as soon as possible and within the time the law requires.
Other websites
Our site links to other websites, such as Pinterest and the shops we recommend. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top, and we will tell you about any major changes on this page or by email.
